Where heritage meets modern style

Chepa is a South African streetwear brand that fuses contemporary fashion with vibrant African heritage. Founded in 2017, the label transforms traditional prints and cultural symbolism into modern, wearable styles that celebrate identity and self-expression. Inspired by the township slang “chepa” (to dress stylishly), the brand is rooted in Afrocentric design while keeping sustainability in focus, repurposing fabric offcuts into new creations. From everyday staples to statement pieces, Chepa makes African culture visible, bold, and unapologetically stylish.

The Problem

CHEPA had built strong in-store demand and a loyal following, but online sales told a different story. Despite healthy traffic driven by Meta and Google, the digital experience was letting customers down. Clunky navigation—especially on mobile—created frustration, while checkout friction and limited payment options drove high drop-off rates. On top of that, landing pages weren’t aligned with ad intent, causing further disconnect. In short, paid media was doing its job, but the site wasn’t ready to close the deal.
